Turn Dormer
I have a useless box room that has a sloping dormer type ceiling. I want to turn it into a child's bedroom.?

We are renting, so we cannot extend it out into a proper room... I need help, suggestions, or a match!

This question needs more information.
What are you trying to do with the room...paint ideas, decorating ideas??
Check out this site for some ideas on this type of room...http://www.hgtv.com/decorating/best-of-designers-portfolio-kids-rooms/pictures/index.html

As you can see from the examples, many things are possible in small attic/dormer spaces. How you decorate is totally up to you.

Just keep in mind that the way the walls are painted (different walls/ceiling areas different colrs) will have a big impact on how the room appears, size-wise.
Painting the walls and ceilings the same color will give the room a larger appearance and feel.
If there is not much natural light, you may want to stick with a lighter color for the walls and ceiling areas.

Or as the bottom link shows, you can create a really cool space using a darker color on the walls and ceilings. Gets more cave-like but that may work for your situation.

Always use latex paint. Satin finish is preferred for a kids room as it cleans well.
Olympic makes a great 0 VOC satin latex for about $22.
