How Much faster will Big Bore 150cc make my TTR 125 dirt bike?
Im thinking about getting big bore kit for my Yamaha TTR 125 to make it faster
How much faster will it go??? Can it go 65+?
A big bore will increase the engines torque and will allow an increase in top speed, if the engine is re-geared to take advantage of the increase. The downside is reduced reliability, overheating and the need to re-jet the carburetor.
Changing the camshaft to a mid-top end grind, will allow the engine to make its power at a higher rpm and pick up rpms faster. It will most likely out perform a big bore mod. Unfortunately It will still need re-jetted and would benefit from a high flow exhaust and air-box
